A Bit About Me
I am an AHPRA registered psychologist and board approved supervisor. I am passionate about helping others to achieve their potential and manage the challenges of life. I have worked in community services, child protection, schools, and private practice. I have extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults with a variety of presentations, including autism, anxiety, anger, depression, adjustment disorders, ADHD, and trauma. I use a flexible approach to treatment; utilising strategies from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and solution focused therapy. I am currently at capacity for intervention services.
I have extensive experience administering cognitive, academic, and adaptive assessments to children and adults to help diagnose intellectual delays or learning disorders. I also offer ADHD assessments for children. There is minimal wait-time for these assessments.
I have attended training with Autism Spectrum Australia (ASPECT) and University of Western Australia (UWA) to conduct diagnostic assessments for Autism. I currently offer autism assessments in collaboration with Mandurah Speech Pathology only. There is a 6 month wait-time for autism assessments.
I also have experience supporting parents to meet their child’s cognitive, social, and emotional needs. I am trained to deliver Circle of Security Parenting Program. When working with parents I utilise attachment focused gentle parenting strategies, which allows parents to understand their child’s behaviour as a form of communication and sensitively meet their developmental needs.
When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my family, being active, and capturing quiet moments in nature.
